Our interdisciplinary team of professionally trained staff and volunteers are committed to providing comfort oriented care with a holistic approach aimed at achieving comfort throughout the progression of the illness. Members of the hospice team work closely together to provide services including medical care, nursing care, social work, home health and volunteer assistance, as well as spiritual and grief counseling and support.

Gilchrist Hospice Care provides care wherever a patient and family are most comfortable: at home, in a nursing home, retirement or assisted living community, or at our inpatient facility, Gilchrist Center.

In addition to our headquarters at Gilchrist Center located in Towson, Maryland, we maintain three other home-based care offices in Bel Air, Columbia and Owings Mills.

Gilchrist Hospice Care is certified by Medicare and fully licensed by the State of Maryland to provide hospice care.

We are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Gilchrist Hospice Care is a member of the following organizations:
